Read more about this in the provided links. My thought is that the GT- and RT-AC5300 may run an older version of AiMesh which isn't fully compatible with newer systems or the ZenWiFi line. It could work partially, but only after testing. If returns aren't possible, I'd opt for another RT-AC5300 instead.
