I've been using a 2700x for six months now. Recently I got a 5600x but returned it, so I'm starting fresh with another 5600x. The new chip isn't showing up. I've updated the CMOS, changed the BIOS to F30, F30i, F32, and am currently running F32 for most tests—only one stick at a time. Sometimes I can access the BIOS but when I exit, nothing appears. Windows launch seems to work when I switch back to 2700x. My RAM is the Corsair CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB 3200Mhz. Any advice would be helpful. I've attached photos of the BIOS showing the versions and a picture from one time when the 5600x worked.
You require at least F30; have you attempted starting only the OS partition without any additional drives?
They've been using F32 as the main BIOS. The compact form factor makes it tough to work with, and having an NVMe slot underneath the motherboard helps. Is it likely this will resolve the issue? Even if it's a drive problem, should the system still boot consistently from BIOS?
I'm using a riser setup with a Sliger SM580, MSI Gaming X Trio 3080, SilverStone SST-SX800-LTI - SFX-L Series, and a Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3200MHz 2x8 NVMe. The SSD is connected via Sabriant NVMe, and the boot drive is a Kingston ISA.
The 2700x only supports Gen 3, so even if your motherboard is set to auto, it will run Gen 3 despite your GPU being Gen 4. The 5600x is also Gen 4, but if the riser can't handle it, problems arise. I experienced random crashes and boot issues once the BIOS wasn’t updated properly. After some trial and error, I managed to get it working again.
