For a solid PC, PS Now isn't worth it. Just plug in or connect Bluetooth to the PS4/5 controller and try playing games directly on the PC. Many titles support native play, and Steam offers strong tools for the DualShock 4. It tends to be more cost-effective over time, plus you keep your saves safe locally without any server lag.

For PlayStation titles available on Steam or other PC marketplaces, I’m definitely considering playing them. However, some games from Sony aren’t accessible to PC players in the same way—like God of War or certain Spider-Man titles—which makes this the only option I know of.

For enjoying these exclusives, this appears to be the sole choice unless you purchase a console yourself. If it makes sense for you and the cost feels reasonable, proceed. Remember, even though others mentioned otherwise, this isn’t an emulator—it’s a streaming platform. It operates through a server connected via the internet, so your connection quality matters greatly. You won’t own the games; you rely on Sony, meaning their decisions could affect your saves or progress. Unless they discontinue the service soon, it’s unlikely you’ll lose access anytime soon.

It's online streaming via the web, not using an emulator. They suggest a minimum speed of 5Mbps for your internet connection, considering both upload and download needs. You won't receive all titles with your plan; you purchase them separately. Spiderman isn't included, which is a significant drawback. Games can be taken away at any time, and the service can be discontinued without refunds. For controllers, a DualShock 4 would be ideal to fully utilize games that need its features (currently). https://support.playstation.com/s/articl...uage=en_US If this is correct, you likely don't need a DualShock 3 if you own a DualShock 4. Should PS5 titles be added in the future (they aren't right now), you might require the DualSense to play them, which could work backward-compatibly with older games like PS4 and PS3. But their site says it isn't yet supported for PC controllers. https://www.playstation.com/en-ca/suppor...ntrollers/

I rely on Playstation Now most of the time. With a stable internet connection over 20Mbps, it’s a solid choice. It runs perfectly on my PS4 controller and supports local multiplayer with several devices. The library includes many top-tier titles—currently I’m enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn. At just $11 a month, it offers great value for access to high-end games without the need for new hardware.

I attempted it but had trouble getting in. I mainly make 30fps titles, which are common, yet they feel slower. With 550Mb broadband and Ethernet connection, the experience wasn’t great. Most games run smoothly even on lower settings, similar to older PS4 versions. If you're not familiar with PC gaming or can't afford a gaming PC, it's still usable. However, I’d rather buy a used PS4 and use psnow for downloads instead.

PS4 models are often available at lower prices than original PS3 versions (especially for PSNow titles). I suggest saving your monthly $11 and purchasing when you can. PSNow works well, but a modded PS3 could be a better option on a budget. Keep the remaining funds until you finish the game collection and consider upgrading to a PS4 Pro if possible.
