The setup works well... just consider which monitor you choose might cause more problems. 1440p/144 isn't the ultimate limit—more like a high-end standard—so I agree with @Naijin... what you see is a realistic target for your screen.

Thank you for the update. The setup will start with a 1080p display, and I intend to switch to a 1440p monitor at 144hz within two months.
