No output with another motherboard assistance
hello, i bought a few pc components for an upgrade. after installing them, i realized there was no display. i thought it might be the graphics card, so i spent more on a 3060. it worked fine on my old system but not on the new one. my previous rig had an msi z170a gaming pro with intel core i7 6700k, rtx 2060, and 24gb ddr4. the new rig uses a gigabyte z690 gaming x with 12400f i5 and rtx 2060. i tried the 3060 with 24gb ddr4 ram and 750w psu. please help me figure out what’s wrong.
Hey there, What slots are you using for your RAM modules? How many RAM sticks do you need to reach a 24GB setup? The most frequent problem I encounter is when the computer starts but no display appears—your fans are spinning, but it’s unclear if one or more RAM sticks aren’t properly seated or if a stick is faulty. I recommend reinstalling and placing the first RAM stick in slot A2, labeled as the second slot on your motherboard. If that works, move to slot B2 and install the second stick. If everything functions, boot into your BIOS and follow the necessary steps, then add your RAM sticks one at a time into slots A1 and B1 accordingly.
