I recently put together my first PC, but it isn’t showing up online. The motherboard logo is missing and the BIOS screen isn’t accessible. Everything seems functional—lights on the board and fans running, monitor working. I discovered the IO components aren’t working. After testing an RGB mouse, it didn’t light up. Using a phone charger also failed to charge anything.
Disconnect all components except one RAM stick, leave no drives, disconnect the GPU (as the CPU lacks built-in graphics), turn off fans and USB ports, remove any internal headers except the power switch, and attempt again. If unsuccessful, reset the CMOS according to your motherboard manual. Try restarting once more. During the initial boot, the system will restart several times for memory training. Verify that all power supply connectors are properly attached—check the 24-pin, 8-pin CPU power, and GPU power connections.
