So my old computer is still decent but it's been a while since I changed the thermal paste. We couldn't start it for some reason. My brother brought it home and looked into it—seems like a BIOS battery problem. The machine started up now, but when I brought it back, there was no display. He tried using VGA (my motherboard is really old) since integrated graphics would show the screen, but it didn't work at all. We're not sure what to do anymore. We want to get back into BIOS but everything is broken. Important details: when the PC first booted, the GPU worked and then the fans stopped, and neither the keyboard nor the mouse responded. The specs are just for reference. GPU GTX 970, CPU i7-3770, 8 GB DDR3. I don't know the motherboard model. Updated January 11, 2024 by Get Sofied

It seems like your system isn't functioning properly. The motherboard is quite outdated, which means it likely doesn't support modern displays or LEDs.

Typically, older systems emit a beep when issues arise. Do you have an extra GPU for testing? My assumptions point to the motherboard or GPU.

Sure, I can handle that. The problem is I don’t have an extra motherboard. The GPU is fine, it’s working properly.

Check if the fans are moving. Consider restarting the CPU, RAM, GPU, and power connectors.

Certainly, the fans are working well at first, but eventually the GPU fans stop once they warm up. As I mentioned earlier.
