I have just added a new motherboard, ram, cpu. I did a clean install of windows 10 and everything was working. I then used the built-in feature in the bios to overclock and enabled xmp.
The PC power ups but there is no display on my monitor. I have shorted the clrtc pins while my PC was unplugged and removed the CMOS battery for 10 min. Doing those things makes no difference. I have no idea what to try next to fix it
My spec is:
I5 6600k
Asus z170 pro gaming
Gtx 970
32gb Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-25600 (3200)

Occasionally BIOS adjustments require patience, as a single minute may not suffice. Reinitialize the BIOS using the same method (jumper on pins 2 & 3 with battery removed) and wait an hour for a full reset. If unsuccessful, perform the process again a third time, allowing it to rest overnight. This approach is considered a reliable technician technique.

Try replacing RAM modules individually at each socket or use different modules altogether.

It's also possible that the issue stems from incompatible or faulty RAM, which may be indicated by overclocking attempts. Consult the motherboard product page > Support > check the memory_QVL_report link for further details.

It seems your computer isn't responding properly. Have you attempted to re-seat the RAM? (Remove it entirely and then reinstall.)
You might also try starting with just one RAM stick.
Re-seating the CPU could help as well.
(Use the same steps: remove, inspect for bent pins, reinstall.)
Check if your motherboard includes a speaker. If it does, listen to the beep codes—determine their meaning via this link: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

Occasionally BIOS adjustments require more time than expected, and a single minute isn’t sufficient. Reinitialize the BIOS using the same method (jumper on pins 2 & 3 with battery removed) and wait an hour before trying again. If unsuccessful, perform the reset a third time, allowing it to run overnight for a better chance. This technique is recommended by experienced technicians as reliable.
