I tried rocket dock, but it didn’t really catch my attention. It performed well with no lag, though it wasn’t something I was used to. Maybe someone else finds it useful.

Since Windows 7 was released, I’ve kept most of my frequently used applications pinned to the taskbar. After that, I empty the whole desktop for a tidy appearance.
