I've been searching for a more comprehensive Pokémon game that lets you progress without restarting if you want the latest update. I'm considering Zeta or Omicron first to see what others think. What do you enjoy or dislike about it? How does it compare to other Pokémon titles? Should I go ahead?

I've mostly skipped Pokémon after the platinum era, so I'll go through it on an emulator and share my thoughts.

It hasn't been played yet, but from what I've noticed it has many instances of mismatched sprites or tiles. From my perspective, some visuals feel a bit... incomplete. I understand there are more critical aspects, but the graphics haven't received as much focus as other parts of the game. Also, it's made in RPG Maker XP.
