You might be considering a MacBook, but you haven't used Mac OS much. Someone has it—what do they think?

Have you asked about your MacBook Pro specifications? I can provide details or help with any related questions.

I currently run Windows but previously used a Mac for many years. It handles most tasks well, though gaming support is limited. For specific processes like development, a Unix setup can be beneficial.

It seems we should focus on the topic you're interested in. Typically MacOS works well with many apps, but gaming isn't its strongest suit. I've been using a Mac since around 2007 and play games on a Windows PC.

It's a big change moving up or down the intelligence scale. What do your grandparents think about those PCMR Nazi symbols? Mostly they'd say it's outdated. The main MacBooks from M3, M5, and M7 are not great—switch to a solid i5 or i7. You'll find good games on Steam, but they often drop for Macs long after Windows releases them. Updating software on Apple devices is smooth, unlike Windows. Everything you need runs natively, and most Linux tools work just fine on Mac too. Safari isn't great, but it's different from what you're used to. Anything that bothers you in Windows won't be the same on Mac—except for some quirks; you'll need third-party fixes to get the most out of Windows, and full-screen games feel tricky to navigate.

The progress curve is quite challenging, that's what I've observed.
