The app launcher or menu requires Rofi, Wofi, or Hyprshell. CachyOS uses Wofi and you need to press Mod+Space to activate it once. It's similar to saying you can't use Linux because it's not the same as Windows—what package is involved?

I attempted to use exec-once in Hyprland but received a command not found error. I thought it might be a package and looked for installation instructions. Nothing came up. The Exec command worked, but not exec-once. From the GitHub repo, I couldn't find any details about it. It seems like developers may not prioritize providing clear setup guidance. I prefer working with Ubuntu since there are more packages, resources, and support available there. That way, I can quickly resolve issues.

They had indeed warned about this.

Don't worry about the app image. Just run the downloaded file and double-click it. Hyperland or any tiling window manager isn't ideal for beginners. The Gnome version with Tiling Shell works, though it lacks a lot of customization.

Yeh. That's what happened. But the appimage wasn't added to the system menu or dock. I made a text file for the desktop shortcut instead, which fixed it. Then I used a package that checks desktop validation for the shortcut and enabled the app across the system, but that didn't work either. I see the program appears in the list, but clicking doesn't do anything. Now I can launch Ungoogled Chromium via the shortcut on desktop, though the pinned program in the dock and menu still isn't working. Also, the executable appimage lacks an icon, but the shortcut now has one because I added it to the text file. Overall, this can be frustrating for beginners—it's not very user-friendly. Just a reminder that someone completely new might get frustrated and give up. I had a similar experience when trying to do things in Hyprland; basically nothing worked.
