Thanks for the update! The projector setup sounds interesting—replacing the old X58/X5650 with this board could work well for 3D games on a projector. For PS3 emulation, make sure the AVX 512 is supported by your CPU. Regarding IHS and repaste, it can be tricky; ensure you have the right tools and patience for that part of the process. Sorry for the delayed response. The IHS removal is straightforward—it involves four small screws on a backplate. Just take off the backplate, pull out the IHS, and reassemble everything with the screws. Using liquid metal really helped; I’m currently running at 70% under load. The main issue is an EDP limit that caps overclocking to about 4.6GHz per core. I’m not sure how to bypass it, but it’s holding up well after the treatment. Overall, the system feels sluggish, but performance remains solid. After applying liquid metal, I achieved a Cinebench score of 15,200 with modest overclocking around 110 watts.
