When you open the launcher, you need to choose either Mojang or your Microsoft account. After selecting one, you’ll see "Internet not connected" on the screen. The firewall is active for Minecraft, both public and private, and no other alerts are showing up. I’m talking to you from the computer that says there’s no internet access inside Minecraft. PS: I only had issues with Minecraft after Microsoft took over.
Their claimed current supported software appears to be struggling as well. It seems many threads with newer gear are facing problems, let alone older ones—particularly after adding a Microsoft account.
Each time a Microsoft account is created, it causes major issues... Windows 10 behaves the same as Windows 7, repeatedly complaining about the problems caused by Microsoft.
Running Windows 10 version 2004 is the current setup. A workaround (that helped me) was to search for Windows 7 and 8 launchers in the browser. Download the appropriate MSI file, open it, and run without updating the launcher (be aware of the warning message). Avoid using Windows 11 because it may cause connection problems.
