I prefer tangible versions but when dealing with seven CDs, they end up in the trash. Just grab them from Steam.

It depends on the number of gigs and timing. You can download it beforehand or while you're at the gym. Or, just like me, I'll handle it when I need to.

it's a 500k SP in reverse, the rest is MP. There are three characters in the SP, so I think the funds are split evenly between them—about 166k each OP. The benefit of Steam is that it unlocks in 35 minutes. You should pick the box tomorrow; if your internet is fast, you can start earlier.
