Can all asus motherboards do what Mr Linus was experimenting? Or was it only for that spacific one? It would be amazing if a system was so swappable I can switch between my work hardware to my gaming-ware in a few seconds.

Hot swapping is a PCIe feature that seldom gets used. If I recall the video accurately, it actually doesn’t function on that particular motherboard even when the feature is enabled. That leaves me with limited chances of it working elsewhere.

This hot swap feature would have been beneficial for me since it allowed seamless integration of SSDs into my school computer. I could easily plug in my homework and even 3D print projects without needing a home PC—just bring the SSD back to school. However, my laptop lacked the processing power to run CAD software effectively.
