MAME is usually run on PCs, which is why I’m sharing this here. I’ve decided to start making a MAME-Cab once it gets warmer outside (I have space and time). I wanted to know if anyone has built one before, what challenges they faced, and how you feel about the result. Here are my thoughts:

1. Did you purchase the actual cabinet or create it from scratch?
2a. What type of PC hardware are you using, or are you using a Raspberry Pi?
2b. Which output do you prefer, or is it important? VGA works but HDMI might be better?
3. Did you design the button/stick layout yourself or use a ready-made version?
4. What kind of monitor or flat panel TV would you suggest? I’m leaning toward a monitor for weight reasons.
5. Any unique customizations did you add?
6. Are you satisfied with the final build? Would you recommend buying a complete system instead?
