I've upgraded to a 2x8GB LPX Vengeance kit and saw noticeable gains compared to my previous setup. I'm considering adding more RAM for video editing, but I'm hesitant due to the high cost increase. My current configuration already has a strong base, so I'm weighing whether the performance boost justifies the expense. The price jump over 3200/3600 is substantial, so I'm unsure if it's worth it unless the speed improvement is significant. My current specs include a 9900K CPU, Aorus Pro WiFi motherboard, 16GB 3200MHz RAM, a Gigabyte G1 GTX, and a Corsair H150 water cooler.
You could potentially push beyond 3600mhz using your existing setup.
Which RAM model are we talking about? Its clock speeds? You might be able to change the settings to 3600 or adjust the timing, but pushing beyond that while paying extra isn’t worth it for Intel.
