Hello, I'm considering switching to Windows 11. With my current setup—Windows 10 on a supported hardware platform—I'm curious if it's feasible to install Windows 11 despite my older PC specs. My system includes a gaming CPU, high-end cooler, and solid storage, but I want to know if bypassing some requirements would work.

It seems unlikely to be worth it. I’m choosing W10 because it doesn’t receive any more security patches, even though my OS is still compatible.

I prefer using Windows 10. It remains supported until October 14, 2025, although this may vary.

Windows 11 is accumulating more clutter and advertisements, adding extra items you need to turn off. The 24h2 situation hasn’t improved either.

When you need anything Win 11 provides, there are no downsides. If you're happy with the current setup, upgrading isn't necessary. For systems that are becoming sluggish or experiencing issues, a fresh Windows install makes sense. Otherwise, you'll likely face the same situation again in about a year.

It should work on your device. Just create a USB installer using RUFUS and it will be simple

Eight gigabytes of memory are sufficient for an 11 model.

The most beneficial upgrade for your Windows setup is increasing your RAM. I've run Windows 11 on a 6th generation PC, but I haven't noticed any significant difference. The only drawback is it feels slightly more frustrating to use.

This model offers strong performance at 3600Mhz with 32GB RAM. It's an excellent upgrade for your current setup running Windows 11 smoothly.
