With 16GB I shouldn’t require it, and I don’t want my system relying on slower HDDs for RAM storage. I believe it’s already using my C drive, which is an SSD, so frequent writes and reads aren’t happening there.

Several applications require a page file. It's recommended to use a modest one—set to 1024 MB, with a maximum of 8192 or 4096 MB.
