I enjoy Linux and everything about it, but many applications don’t work there. This often comes down to copyright issues rather than the OS itself. It seems you can’t just replace parts of Windows and drop them into Linux; legally you’re limited to something like Wine. I wish a Linux distribution existed that could run any Windows app or program without needing extra software—maybe even future versions of Wine built directly into the system. Wine needs to pinpoint exactly where programs fail on Linux, verify they’re running on Windows, and then execute them flawlessly with optimized, bug-free emulation (which is a big challenge). If that were possible, I’d consider switching tomorrow.

Really, wow! I had no idea Minecraft performed better on Linux, which is pretty impressive.

I sometimes rely on Linux for fixes, though most of my needs are met with Windows because that's where most apps and games run.
