The setup: CPU model Ryzen 7 7800x3D, RAM Kingston Fury 64GB DDR5 4800MHz CL38, GPU ASRock Radeon RX 7900XT, power supply Lcpower Super Silent Modular LC6850M V2.31 850W, SSD Samsung 500gb 980 Pro M.2 PCIe M.2 2280 M.ZIP, issue: PC starts fans and lights but screen remains dark, no BIOS or Asus brand visible. Solutions attempted: Verified connections, reset RAM and GPU, used only one RAM stick per slot, swapped GPUs known to work, tested DP and HDMI inputs, set monitor input correctly, updated BIOS via Asus FlashBack, restarted BIOS after removing CMOS battery, tested with UPS unit.

Have you attempted to boot without a GPU and rely solely on the integrated graphics? The AM5 POST times can be quite lengthy, sometimes exceeding 30 seconds during the initial boot and/or CMOS reset/UEFI update. If this doesn’t help, switching to a different memory configuration might be wise, especially with higher capacity kits on AM5. I own a 7950x build, though it's a production server, so I can't modify it directly. However, it only needed a 2x16GB package, yet many users report issues with 2x32GB or even 2x24GB kits not booting. It’s worth thinking about upgrading to 4x16GB if you require more than that.

What’s the clearest question—did you or didn’t you connect the cable to the motherboard rather than the GPU?

Never attempted connecting it to the motherboard after the BIOS update, though I question if that's the problem. Thinking about the RAM next.

It's possible the CPU might be involved too.

This will assist you; I assume your motherboard includes Q-LEDs, but it seems they aren’t present. You’ll still require those beeping sounds, which also need to be connected.
