Typically while playing games, I stream music from YouTube and use multiple browsers like Firefox, Discord, Spotify, etc. This shouldn’t affect my frame rate. If you’re considering a high-end GPU like the 9900K, it’s unlikely to be the issue unless you’re pushing the limits.
Eight cores are more than enough for gaming and running everyday tasks like browsing the web and playing music players.
At present, this holds up. Its reliability for the future is less certain.

Your 1080Ti doesn't inherently restrict a 9900K or any other CPU. Bottlenecks occur when the CPU isn't quick enough for the GPU, leading to stuttering or timing issues. Conversely, if your GPU is slow but your CPU is powerful, performance will be limited by the GPU's ability to render frames. For optimal results, aim for your GPU usage between 95-100% during games and keep your CPU usage under 80-85%.
Looking through the video, it appears Assassins Creed handles 8Thread workloads well but not as smoothly with 12Thread. From the early benchmark clips, it seems to manage higher demand, though performance drops noticeably when it exceeds its limits, even on my system. 8Thread usage is significantly more reliable than 12Thread.
