With equal backing for gaming on Linux, I’d leave Windows without hesitation. It’s really frustrating.

I have fully moved to Linux about three to four years ago. Even my phone, which I'm writing from, runs one Linux distribution called Sailfish OS. We also use Linux on our work servers. I don't suggest using Windows to anyone. If you're interested in switching, yes—it's challenging at first, but you'll eventually enjoy it.

I’m currently limited to Linux, but this feels like a big change I won’t want to make anytime soon.

I've been thinking about making the change for a while now, but I'm still heavily dependent on Windows and macOS apps like Adobe CS6, Affinity Designer/Photo, and many games. Once those get fully supported on Linux, man oh man, I'd be switching right away. Spotify and Dropbox are already available (unlike Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, or iTunes), so hopefully more programs will follow.

I’ve already changed; I just rely on my Manjaro box to hit my daily posting goals. The Windows 7 machine is only for gaming.
