I've been working on this OC for several days now. The switch from my old B450 to the X570 was due to some memory instability problems, and since the X570 generally performs better than its predecessors, I decided to upgrade. Setting up the manual BIOS on my previous ASUS ROG Strix B450I was quite simple—everything worked as expected. For a couple of months, I kept my 2700X in stock mode, trying to push it to its limits, hoping to extract more performance. Then I switched back to the Gigabyte Aorus X570 I Pro WiFi BIOS. What caught me off guard was the lack of familiar options. Apparently, Gigabyte offers an AMD Overclocking menu, which is actually part of AGESA and should be available on other brands' boards too, including Zen+ models. My board didn’t have it. There’s also the AMD CBS menu, which is a bit disorganized. The only way to enable XFR/PBO is through that, but there’s no option to adjust current limits. I experimented with setting VCore and SoC manually to default values, rebooting after each change—sometimes a post or Windows update would help, followed by a black screen freeze. I checked VRMs, protection settings, and even reached the daily safe voltage limit of 1.4V, but nothing changed. If I dig into the AMD CBS menu and turn XFR/PBO on, it keeps VCore at 1.47-1.5V, which hasn’t dropped further in HWInfo yet. It seems safe, though I’m puzzled by the long warning screen before getting to that setting. Is this just my board? Could it be a Gigabyte issue? Or is it specific to the X570 with Zen+?

I changed the boards to the Gigabyte Aorus X570 I Pro WiFi as planned. The B450 offered more customization options. My problem is with the Gigabyte board—my Asus one was unreliable. At first it performed well with memory at 3200, but after a year it began crashing in different scenarios, stopped posting, etc. The X570 works fine with XMP settings. P.S.: I’m trying to do the OC myself, but the board resists.

Gigabyte BIOS options appear limited on certain models, which surprises me. The only controls available on the X470 Aorus Gaming Pro were vcore offset and frequency adjustments. It’s been a while since I attempted to overclock with that ITX board, though I recall it performs significantly better with PBO than manually, which is disappointing.

It’s been a while since I attempted to overclock with that ITX board, though I recall it performs significantly better with PBO than manually, which is disappointing.

Turn off all unnecessary settings and adjust the multiplier you prefer. Set the core manually. Is that possible?

Attempted a fix after three weeks of issues. The LAN port was quite sensitive, showing unstable connections in some cases while the same cable on another port worked fine. Memory performance declined over time. Initially suspected CPU problems; later replaced the 2700 with an AMD 2700x (October last year). Same results. The Gigabyte X570 runs smoothly with XMP enabled. I've tested everything possible. PBO was left in auto and disabled, LLC pushed to extreme levels for stock settings, tried both manual VCore values (1.36250V and 1.4V), and even with XMP active. It still posts, BIOS functions correctly, and after reboot it loads properly. Windows start screen appears, but then it freezes or turns black. With PBO/XFR it boots normally, suggesting no overvoltage protection issue. I've checked all available BIOS versions.

P.S.: Rumor says AMD integrated the "AMD Overclocking" menu into AGESA; Gigabyte doesn't display it with Zen+ unlike others.

P.P.S.: I can perform overclocking with Ryzen Master, but it complains when I enable virtualization support—required for WSL2 and HyperV. Ryzen Master doesn’t apply a permanent OC, so it’s not an option.

P.P.P.S.: Gigabyte's EasyTune provides options like VCore Offset, though there’s no way to raise the power limit.

I'm checking if... a) every X570 model lacks Zen+ OC support, b) all Gigabyte X570 boards share the same limitation, c) the Aorus X570 I Pro WiFi boards are similarly affected, or d) only my setup is the issue. This suggests the issue isn’t with AGESA, the platform, or Gigabyte BIOSes in general—more feedback would be greatly appreciated. I ran extensive tests across various BIOS versions and different AGESAs. All of them showed the same pattern: set manual VCore, restart, successful boot (I verified all settings work and correct values are supported), Windows loading splash, crashing after about 7 seconds, then a black screen freeze. The system doesn’t have trouble booting with any other BIOS configuration except manual. I can turn on PBO, set very high LLC, and it still boots fine with Vcores well above 1.45V. Question Time, does anyone else use the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi with Zen+? If so, could you try booting with a manual Vcore? Any insights would be helpful!
