I was attempting a fresh NVMe installation but faced several troubleshooting issues. I discovered that the M2_1 slot isn’t showing up in the BIOS settings. Could you share what you see on your PC and any steps you’ve tried so far?

What kind of motherboard you have? The BIOS might need an update. You might have to turn on the M.2 ports in a different section before they appear or function properly.

It seems you're checking if any other devices are connected to the SATA ports. You mentioned that with certain boards, plugging something into the curtain plugs can turn off the M.2 slot.

It has the latest BIOS, I confirmed it. Are you referring to a specific feature or setting?

I've confirmed everything is fine, made sure it was clear in my mind too.

In the boot or storage choices there might be another section in BIOS to turn off or turn on the M.2 ports. If you have several SATA devices connected, it could be one of them interfering with the M.2 slots. Earlier boards shared connections, so when a SATA or M.2 port was active the associated connection would be turned off.

Are there any additional PCIe devices present? The instructions repeatedly mention that if M2_1 is occupied, PCIE4 will be turned off. It's conceivable another device might be interfering instead.

Sata 3 shares with m2_2, but m2_1 doesn't seem to have any settings or manual options to adjust it. Also, I didn't find any toggles for disabling or enabling the slot.

This addresses the initial issues. Next, I’d attempt to reset the CMOS and possibly uninstall and reinstall the M.2 SSD before rechecking.
