Hey, I've been using my PC for a while now, and I've noticed it's quite fragile to sudden movements. If I accidentally bump into myself or drop something on the desk, the whole thing freezes and makes a loud buzzing noise. The only way to fix it is to turn off the power supply, restart it, or unplug and plug it back in. The power button stops working during these moments. Recently, I thought nothing of it, switched it off, turned it back on, but now my GPU and USBs aren't getting power. The fans and CPU are still spinning, but everything seems to be off. I started by checking the QC code since I have an ASUS motherboard, hoping that might help diagnose the issue. But I can't find any instructions there, so I'm sharing my whole story in case someone can assist. Thanks!

Sounds like a loose power cable, or a ground issue. Make sure nothing is behind the mobo between the mobo and the mobo tray. Then unplug and replug all the cables inside the PC.

I tried this and found nothing there. But I have some news. Occasionally when I turned my PC back on, the OS would boot normally. After putting the side plates back in, it would go back to not working. Now I’m seeing another error code labeled "CC." Got any clue what that might mean?

It seems like you're asking if the side panels are causing a connection issue by pinching a cable. Clarify your question for a more accurate response.

It seems like it could be a short circuit. The device powers on and off several times during booting into safe mode. I don’t have a photo to show the backside, but you look like someone with experience, so maybe you can help me out.

Undoubtedly not a specialist, just requiring a PC build for fifteen years for friends and relatives. I don’t perceive anything clearly incorrect. Are all the mounting points in the motherboard tray actually intended to secure the M.2 slot? If there are points that don’t match the slots, they might cause shorts.

All the barriers function as entities, yet they are no longer toggling, simply remaining active without any indicator or USB energy source.

It seems it’s time to take out the motherboard, unplug everything, and test if it functions properly on your desk. Just install a single stick of RAM, skip the hard drives and CD drives.

I resolved the issue by reviewing each wire thoroughly before disassembling. It turned out a wire had been completely cut. Fixing it was simple—just restarting my BIOS finished the job. Thanks for your assistance!
