We use a computer at work for cloud storage, accessed via a shared folder on personal devices. I’m new here and currently using my laptop. The shared folder appears as a shortcut when you open File Explorer or the Network tab. I didn’t create a desktop shortcut, so only a few PCs show up in the network view. I can’t locate the server or find it through discovery settings. WiFi is private, file and printer sharing are enabled, and guest discovery is on. I’ve tried resetting the network adapter but haven’t found a fix.
I previously had access and could view the computer. Now it's difficult to locate that PC or many others on the network. Only a few appear. The person who manages the PC mentioned there was no activity on the router, and the PC itself has been altered.
Have you switched to Windows 1803? Yes, I have and I’m facing a problem with my home network. No network PCs show up in Windows anymore except on one laptop that’s still running Windows 1709.
I'm running the 1803 update. There seems to be another device I was aware of that had access too. I used that one before, and it worked just fine. Thought it might be related to the update, but after switching to 1803 it's still functioning properly.
