I have a GSKILL Trident Z with RGB 3600 MHz RAM, rated at 1.35V and a latency range of 16-19-19-39. After enabling XAM, the RAM began running at 3600MHz, but I notice it pulls 1.38V instead of the advertised 1.35V. I’m wondering if lowering the voltage manually to 1.35V would impact the latency.
1.38V remains safe, and certain sensors still function. However, if you aim to undervolt, it's worth trying—it doesn't impact delays, but success depends on the component. It's recommended to run memtest86 after lowering voltage to verify RAM stability.
Undervolting helps save battery while keeping performance adequate.
that's perfectly fine, most if not all kits are fine with 1.4, some may be iffy about 1.45. but this is perfectly fine.
