I do alot of surfing around the seedier parts of the web looking for very uncommon things, and downloading pretty questionable torrents sometimes, so instead of waiting for a virus to do its damage, I block it from ever reaching my computer, but I guess since you just happen to know what is safe and what's not at a moments notice, I could just call you any time I want to download something. Instead of fighting them, I just remove them and let my mind handle the detection. It’s simple—most of these tools don’t add much value. If everyone, from grandmothers to tech newbies, understood the difference between a reliable link and a click trap, a lot would change. Adblock already handles most of those annoying pages for me.
