Hello! Your motherboard isn't uncommon—many people own them. Let me know if you need more details.

They recently bought items on eBay for less than $50, so that's not an issue.

Not very uncommon, yet definitely an interesting board (likely due to the copper, heat pipes, and VRM fan).

Oh sure, I recall that time when they used those chip chips for fans. Those were the days for people like us. Back then, there were so many options—quad channel memory or AGP 8x were the choices. You couldn’t have both an ATA slave and a SATA port in one setup. It was wild what an era that was!

This platform exists in a quirky time period (Core 2 Quad) that’s outdated enough to seem irrelevant today but still appealing for vintage projects.

Premium P965 ASUS board offers solid performance without being scarce. Good for checking out, but you probably won’t need to hunt for it since top boards are available on X38, X48, and P45. It could be a nice collector’s piece or just a cool find—about 14-15 years old now.

It's a solid piece, though it doesn't stand out as especially scarce. In fact, they're becoming a bit less common. I mean, I used to think my board with both DDR and SDRAM ports was odd—slot/socket Pentium III models, AGP and PCIe connections... but honestly, why is there always something so rare?
