Hi all, PC Specs: Ryzen 5 7500F PBO Enhanced DDR5 32GB 6000mhz cl32 with XMP enabled W11 24H2 OS Build 26100.2605 Christitus PS tool is used to limit background processing The RTX3070 can maintain 240fps at 5120x1440 resolution on League of Legends ARAM However, it occasionally freezes/teleports frames with GSYNC, VSYNC Fast, Off, On, Adaptive, Adaptive Sync On or Off on the Display, same results, when fps is 240 caped DP cable is the one that came with the monitor itself LC49G95T Samsung Odyssey G9, which can handle the bandwidth - Checked with Odyssey G7 DP cable, which should be lower tier, has same results, no difference GPU is OC with MSI afterburner at 1935mhz Core and 8000mhz Mem with 0.875v with tested stability with 3dMark Nomad. This helps cap the fps a little higher for no freezing (200 from 185) FPS is capped in game at 45% utilized GPU Without the OC/Undervolted has same results With 240fps cap, it has freezing/teleporting in game, similar to the video, sometimes frequent, sometimes less so At 200fps capped, it has almost none freezes, few rare ones after the OC At 185fps capped, it has none 4k at 144hz works normal * Question: Is the GPU not able to maintain the 240hz at this resolution, (the resolution has fewer pixels than 4k) and would it be needed a GPU upgrade or could it be something else? An interesting note, from the Nvidia site: the 3070, 3080, 3090 have Maximum Digital Resolution 7680x4320 while from 4070 and up have Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate 4K at 240Hz or 8K at 60Hz with DSC, HDR Essentially if this solely can confirm it, or also if someone else had similar results at 5120x1440 resolution or 4k 240hz with the 3070 and a GPU upgrade solved it 240fps freezing moment.mp4
