Hello, your plan to switch to Windows 10 is good. Upgrading your GPU won’t affect the data on your HDDs J and K, as they remain unchanged during the update process.

Only the previous operating system will be removed. Some applications might not work as expected because they were built for Windows 7.

During the installation, if you pick custom options, you can decide which devices to format, which to keep untouched, where to install Windows, and even create a dedicated area for it.

Wonderful. Appreciate it; I’ve been cautious for a while because I don’t want to lose anything important.

You'll be asked whether you wish to begin fresh (remove all content) or retain your current items. Proceed with caution.

Always ensure separate data drives are disconnected before installing or upgrading.

You're aware that both AMD and Nvidia back Windows 7 with newer graphics cards?... It's wise to make a backup of your storage just in case issues arise.

Backup your files first, then perform a fresh installation. The J, K drives plus all other drives except C will remain intact. Disable the SATA ports or remove the drives during the Windows 10 setup. Which GPU model did you receive?

It's best to disconnect the device before installation, avoid choosing the incorrect drive, and consider an upgrade rather than a full clean install. Always back up vital data before starting.

I actually had no idea... i assumed they would have gave up or that the there is performance difference. Ive been away from the PC gaming side of things for about 4 years and man have things changed... Got a 1440p 144hz monitor and getting a RTX 2070 super seems like a good combo for 1440p games a for a few years
