Does it refer to 1440p resolution and what refresh rate? Likely not. With 8 cores you're already at the limit most games will hit, and the Intel 11 lineup was poor so it wasn't a solid pick.

Yeah, you're thinking about 1440p. The monitor is a 32-inch, 165Hz Gsync certified one. It seems like you got the right decision going for it, especially in many games where the 5700G offered similar FPS at 1080p with a 5800x resolution, as shown in some YouTube videos. In the worst case, you could always change it later if you're not happy with the performance, but I'm pretty sure you'd only notice a difference in CPU usage when playing at 1080p.
