I currently possess an older high-end Haswell CPU that’s clearly limiting my 3060 at 1080p. I looked into the issue and discovered that a 5600X would cause bottlenecking with a 3070 at 1080p. In theory, I shouldn’t be concerned since my GPU is more powerful, but there are some nuances. First, I’m considering purchasing a 5600X instead of X because it’s more affordable, and second, I frequently use DLSS, which reduces the effective game resolution below 1080p (though I’m not sure by how much). Should I opt for a faster CPU?

It works well together. No need for a more powerful processor when gaming at 1080p.

It makes sense, should he be a good match and the 1080p resolution shouldn't create too many problems.
