I've been considering a system upgrade for some time. Right now I have a 1650 paired with my 10100f. After seeing the crypto market drop, I found a used RTX 2060 for $80 less than its MSRP. I'm wondering if my current 10100f is sufficient to avoid slowing things down or if I should invest the money from selling my 1650 to buy a better graphics card and a more powerful CPU like a Ryzen 5500 or an i5 12400f.

It’ll be a bit of a bottleneck, so choose the 12400F.

You don’t have to upgrade right away; a 2060 works well with the 10100F. You can purchase the GPU now and later check if your CPU is the bottleneck by running games at under 90% usage, then upgrade when needed.

I believed this, so I’m planning to opt for a 12400F. The 5500 lacks PCIe Gen 4 support, which would be beneficial later on.

I'll definitely run the benchmark once it's available.
