is this a virus? when i open file location it is named ntoskrnl as a application i am unable to end task,stop it, or delete. It says im not authorize because im not "trusted source" is this something everyone has? does it come pre-install as a microsoft software?.. opinions? it has been causing problems while trying to unmounted my external hard driverive i tried usbsafelyremove software, thats how i know its "system" in task manager that is causing the problem i restart my pc and am able to unmount from there but i dont want to keep doing that, idk if this is a short term problem i want to hear your guys opinions if this is a virus or not.. i have attached some pictures for you guys to see also

This file is included in the operating system, which means it's not a virus. It's hard to explain why or how it's causing issues.

It's the NT OS kernel itself—just the operating system. Not a virus. Moved to the Windows subforum.

This component is essential for the operating system. Removing it will cause serious issues. Don't delete it.
