The 7600X3D offers significantly better performance with less than 0.1% compared to the 5800X3D. You might want to consider upgrading to the 7800X3D if you're looking for even more efficiency, though it comes at a higher cost.

It's a 6-core processor versus an 8-core one, and the 5800X3D performs more like a 9700X.

I was thinking about purchasing a new gen X3D chip since my monitor runs at 240Hz but it often shows 2000 out of 10000 or 1% lows on CS2. I needed higher tolerance, around 0.1%. I considered 7800X3D versus 7600X3D and decided on the latter.

It seems we could try a different approach. A PBO offset of -20 works with your CPU, but what about a 4090 or 5090* configuration?

I adjusted it a while back and got better performance. The issue is, I don’t play CS2 in the 4:3 format; I stick with 16:9, which makes it a bit more demanding. My graphics card is an RX 7900 GRE.

Focusing on extremely low frame rates isn't necessary—your system likely won't reach those numbers. It's usually better to adjust in-game settings for your hardware. A stronger CPU might actually help, giving you more frames instead of chasing tiny numbers. Most modern games can't run smoothly at 240fps, so aiming for higher is often unrealistic.

Regarding the in-game options, I favor a 16:9 aspect ratio over 4:3. It has a solid average of over 500 on CS2, though it can be uncomfortable for my eyes. Since CS2 is my primary game, upgrading seems reasonable. I’m curious about the best path to take. Also, my current rig will be passed to my friend and her old rig will become a NAS. I also enjoy playing TF2, L4D2, Assetto Corsa, and other classic titles.
