This situation is really concerning. I’d also reach out to Wal-Mart just to inform them about the misuse of their name in a scam. It’s unlikely they’d accept it for much longer.
The situation isn’t ideal. Few reviews mean the store is likely new, and it’s hard to tell if the seller is trustworthy. It’s possible someone else shares the same name but has different details. There’s a strong risk the seller won’t fulfill the purchase. On Amazon, things are different: the Nspire on Walmart and Amazon might look similar, but copying isn’t impossible. (3/17/2020 – I’m looking into this, will check what I find.) (3/22/2020 – So far nothing has appeared. I’ll reply if anything changes.)
Ebay uses a standard of 98% or higher for feedback to label sellers as reliable. This includes concerns about feedback manipulation for digital products, which may indicate deceptive practices.
A common tale that often appears as a scam is where something is advertised at an unusually low price and then overlooked until after the sale. This usually involves eBay sellers who mistakenly set items at $0.01–$1.00 for instant purchase, thinking it’s a quick auction, while intending to run a genuine auction.
