I've just completed assembling my new PC, and it's running smoothly except for the lack of internet. It uses a 10600k motherboard from a Vision GPU. Could the BIOS setting be the issue? The timing is off by about five hours. If I set it to normal, will that resolve the connectivity problem? The cable appears fine, and it worked with my previous PC without any changes.
Ensure the time is accurate to avoid further complications. Visit your motherboard's support site and obtain all chipset and network drivers, then install them.
Which operating system was installed? The Vision D includes an Intel NIC and Wi-Fi; Windows 10 should provide the necessary drivers. Are the network adapters listed in the Device Manager displayed accurately and functioning properly? Time settings don’t matter—they’ll adjust once you have an internet connection.
You might need to configure a fixed IP address for your new PC based on your network configuration. This isn't related to the BIOS clock setting.
Should i use the cd that came woth the mb? I was hoping the internet would work so i could just go to gigabayes site and install everything cause the cd might be out dated... I have a yellow triangle near the ethernet controller
The board feels brand new, which means the drivers on the CD should function properly. If you own an optical drive, it’s best to install them.
Sure, I understand. Just drop it in while the system is active? Lol, I haven’t done that before—this is my first time with it.
You can try several options: restart the computer, check for power issues, test with another device, or contact the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
