I'm considering upgrading the CPU in my old notebook from an Intel Celeron M to a Core 2 Duo T5750. I'm unsure if this will work with my system (Windows 7 Home Basic, 32-bit), since the listing says it's a 64-bit CPU. My notebook is an ASUS F2HF-5A026H with 2GB of upgraded RAM.

Yes, a 64-bit CPU can handle a 32-bit operating system, but a 64-bit OS would utilize the full potential of CPU instructions. You mentioned you only have a 32-bit key, but I assumed it might grant access to both versions.

Confirm if they share the same connector. Your search indicates Celeron uses M and the dual-core uses P.

Check for upgrade possibilities. Should I upgrade to an Intel Pentium T2080?
