I've visited and organized events. I really enjoy both aspects and plan to keep doing so until I can no longer.

It was a Starcraft competition. We were hooked on the game, but eventually we stopped playing afterward.

No problem. *Staying with console fans all day, even though I’m still just a common person*

I usually hang out with friends only once a year, mostly at my parents' place since they're away. It's big there, but I'm hoping I can get the approval to host a LAN this time.

Hosted an event for my Youth Group. With only five of ten attendees having good computers, we had to play on lower spec or older games. It was a fun digital paintball session. I tried Civilization IV, but it didn’t go over well. We also used some controllers and played N64 on the projector.

LAN gatherings are usually more about bragging than playing games... It often turns into a competition of hardware, where people show off their setups and try to outdo each other.

Organized a LAN gathering a while ago. Around eight guests attended. I haven’t been to another LAN event before. The games we planned didn’t go as expected, so we ended up playing Counter-Strike: Source by chance (a completely unplanned session).
