They performed well previously. They originally created GameBooster before Razer acquired them, and their Uninstaller tool was excellent until recently when it began trying to force startup in Windows.

I commonly see them set up on computers of clients who aren't familiar with technology, like those using Advanced System Care or Driver Booster. They usually cause more problems than they solve, so I remove them and replace them with CCleaner.
