I used WinRAR first and enjoyed how it functioned. I've mastered it and don’t feel the need to test other programs when I’m satisfied with its performance.

There are several compression techniques available for ZIP files. I concur with this point, though 7-Zip's recent update—even in beta—offers most options through its context menu.
