I utilized the Windows 8 license from my workplace legally, but it appears we've exceeded its usage over time. Now I intend to purchase a fresh license for myself, though I don’t want to reinstall everything again. Can there be an option to modify or activate the license without a full reinstall?

Ensure you launch Command Prompt with admin privileges. Use the command `slmgr.vbs -upk` to revert your Windows version to trial mode, after which you can reactivate it with a new activation key.
