I have an old PC used as a media storage device and need to move all files onto a single HDD for future sale. The main concern is whether my motherboard supports a 4TB HDD. Please let me know. Spec: i5-3470 Asus P8H77-M. Thanks in advance.

A 4TB HDD is definitely compatible. Many older systems use bigger drives too.

It functions properly. The H61 with a 500GB SATA 3GB/s drive is performing well, though the chipset has minimal impact on storage speed—more affected by the motherboard ports.

It's okay. Unless you wish to start an operating system from that storage and utilize its entire space. In that scenario you might need to adjust your BIOS settings to turn off csm. I assume you're referring to a built-in drive, since with an external one the process is minimal.
