Hi everyone
I recently rebuilt my desktop a few months ago with a brand new CPU, GPU, and motherboard. The power went out briefly, and my PSU failed. My PC was off when it happened, but it started up without any problems—though it didn’t display graphics. I reset the CMOS, removed the graphics card, and tried connecting it again, but that didn’t work. Then I swapped in a different power cable (PC-only), changed the HDMI port, and finally used a different PCIe cable. Still no graphics.
Later, when I powered down the machine and put it back on, the fans spun but the display remained off. I checked the connection to the GPU—when the 8th pin wasn’t connected, the red light appeared. I tried a new cable from a different brand and a different PSU with another port, but nothing changed.
I’m stuck and not sure what to do next.
