based on what i've seen, i've used gskill enough to break two sticks (just random issues). the warranty process was straightforward—no questions needed. they asked me to return both sticks initially, then only the broken one later. corsair and gskill are the top sellers on newegg, though corsair usually charges more. regarding 8gb sticks versus 16gb overclocking, two years ago it was common to think 8gb sticks were better for oc. now i see mixed opinions, but it's unlikely 8gb sticks would be worse since it wouldn't make sense. i won't know until i try these configurations, but i'd expect 8gb sticks to perform better under overclocking.
