I have an Asus Crosshair VII Hero Wifi. Wifi randomly drops on this device. Go to Asus product page under drivers and there's nothing for Windows 11. Tried the win10 driver but obviously didn't work. I could run ethernet or upgrade, but I'd really rather fix the issue. I can't find a driver for the Realtek 8822be wireless LAN 802.11ac pci-e nic anywhere else. So am I just SOL? Big finger from asus?

You might want to try downloading Armory Crate. I use it alongside my ASUS motherboard to install and update drivers. It could help locate the right Wi-Fi drivers you need. It's a risky approach, but worth a try.

Tried it out, but no Wi-Fi driver found in the Armoury crate updates. Reinstalled all available drivers, along with the chipset and BIOS. Hope it works.

In the worst scenario, the latest Wi-Fi card is often the least reliable, especially with high-end models. It’s not uncommon for those who tried it to run into the same problems quickly. Most users who got this board eventually found a workaround by installing a new Wi-Fi add-in or using a USB solution.

Still experiencing issues after the updates. I'm planning to install a Wi-Fi 6e NIC. Switching ISP to fiber and using a 6e router would be ideal. The TP-Link Archer TXE72E seems like a solid choice unless someone suggests an improved option. Appreciate the support!

Only suggestions I can offer are to avoid buying high-end tiers. They tend to fail quickly, receive minimal support, and are often tested by a small group before being dropped. Plus, most of the board’s features are already covered on much cheaper boards under $200.

It's funny, I purchased it in 2019 from Amazon Warehouse for $135.

I would have done the same then. It's a really good board for its price, though they used an uncommon chipset. There might be another ASUS model with it and a Windows 11 driver available. https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-gami...05DD-DT-DU It could be worth checking that one.

Consider running a Windows update to assist in locating the necessary Wi-Fi drivers.
