Materials: Spare laptop, spare wireless router. My goal is to set up Plex on the spare laptop and link the wireless router via wired connection to it using the Plex client on phone, tablet, or laptop. I’m curious if this works or if I’m just wasting time. I’ll be away for a few hours but will reply quickly with any questions or solutions. Thanks ahead!
To make this function work, you need to link to the router each time you use PLEX. For regular internet access, connect to the router that has a WAN connection. It’s simpler to just place the router nearby and plug your laptop into it instead.
